Edinburgh Offers A Hollywood Affair

Edinburgh embraces a Hollywood affair
The novel is called a literary sensation of the decade had sold over a million copies. The film, starring Anne Hathaway and Jim Sturgess is sure to become a success when released on Friday. But David Nicholls' One day, a love story that all enthusiasts, is now at an altitude acquisition of Edinburgh? One of the Intelligent Office of Tourism seems to think so.

Marketing in Edinburgh last week launched a literary tour of Scotland's capital, within walking distance of six miles to take in all the sites mentioned in the book. No matter that Edinburgh already has a dozen festivals, three castles and a literary heritage that stretches from Walter Scott to Harry Potter - now tourists can come to see where Dexter and Emma fall in love. "Start at the heart of the old city," said the instructions to send me to push the square of the Grassmarket, a man juggling chainsaws next to an African dance troupe. No mention of this in the novel, but the festival season is.
